The Production page in system settings is used to configure how production processes function in the system, including default behaviors, document handling, and templates that standardise work orders and cost registration. It ensures production workflows are structured and consistent across the organisation.
General settings
| Default work order page | The system has two commonly used reports for the "traveller" aka work order. Set the one to use when the report is emailed out automatically. |
| Open work order for project based templates | This set the template for a service work order that will be automatically opened when a user creates a new project. The purpose is when a service work order is needed for every new project. |
| Rough cut unit of measure | The single unit of measure that will be displayed on rough cut capacity calculations. For instance a parquet flooring factory may sell product in packages of different sizes but the managers think of the factory overall capacity in m2. |
List values
| Printers | User defined list of printers available in the system. Used for selecting and managing printers for production documents and reports. |
| Direct printing | Settings for configuring raw printing of receipts and labels directly to supported printers, without generating a PDF. Used in Direct Sales, Purchase Receipts, and Production work steps. Read more. |
| Material item template | User defined template for material items used in production. Defines default values and structure when creating material rows on work orders. |
| Machine time template | User defined template for machine time entries in production. Used to standardise how machine operations and related costs are added to work orders. |
| Work time template | User defined template for labour time entries in production. Ensures consistent registration of work time and associated costs. |
| Subcontract job template | User defined template for subcontracted operations. Used when part of the production process is performed by an external supplier. |
| Other cost item template | User defined template for additional production costs that are not material, machine, work, or subcontracting related. Used to ensure consistent cost registration. |
