The "Portal" is the new front end system for Manu Online and is one of our recent keystone developments.
If you have become a Manu Online customer from 2024, you will have not seen the legacy menuing system so this article does not concern you.
For our users with accounts created prior to 2024, there is an ongoing extended transition time during which time you can choose whether to use the new or older menuing system.
We strongly recommend that all users to the new portal. It is just so much better.
To change to the new Portal, click the button above the menu bar "Try the new Manu Online"
The click on the confirmation button is this change temporarily or permanent. (During the transition period, even if your change is permanent, you can undo this by contacting Manu Online support.)
During the first stage of the transition, only key uses will see this button. In system settings there is a check box to enable it for all users or not. "Allow all users to upgrade to the new Portal". We recommend that you enable this at the earliest opportunity so that you can collect feedback from your users.
Timetable for the depreciation of the legacy main menu
From September 2025 the option to change to the new portal will be given to all users.
From 15th of January 2026 all the remaining users of the legacy menu will be transitioned to the Portal and we will cease maintaining the code for the the legacy menu.
Removal of the Admin section from the legacy main menu
In September 2025 the Admin section will be removed from the legacy main menu. This is due to developments in user management and security that will not be implemented in the legacy menu. To make changes to system settings and users, an admin will need to login to via the Portal.
